Friends and Strangers wins Jeonju Special Jury Prize – Selected for Sydney Film Festival
James Vaughan’s debut feature film ‘Friends and Strangers’ has won the Special Jury Prize at the Jeonju International Film Festival following its Asian premiere. Part absurdist comedy, part satire of colonial accidie, the film follows directionless twenty-somethings Ray and Alice as they navigate a series of prosaic but increasingly agonising situations.
Executive Producer Amiel Courtin-Wilson is excited for the Sydney Film Festival 2021 release of this curiously comedic film this November.
